Job summary

SavATree Indianapolis seeks a Tree Climber to join our General Tree Care Team. You will perform pruning, removals, and cabling on a variety of trees and shrubs, applying your climbing skills and safety training to protect clients' landscapes.

You will operate chainsaws and aerial lifts, follow ANSI pruning standards, and contribute to a safety-focused culture with clear communication.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver's license; CDL is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Outdoor passion and environmental stewardship.
• Pruning for large shade trees and ornamentals.
• Knowledge of tree and shrub species.
• Comfortable climbing without spurs.
• Adherence to tree care safety standards.
• Experience with chainsaws, aerial lifts, bucket trucks.
• Familiarity with ANSI A300 pruning standards and ANSI Z safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality tree care: pruning, removals, and cabling.
• Climb trees safely using ropes, saddle, and ladders.
• Operate chainsaws, aerial lifts and other equipment.
• Apply ANSI A300 pruning standards and ANSI Z safety practices.
• Ensure proper pruning cuts preserving tree health and structure.
• Assist in removals using ropes and spikes for safe takedowns.
• Identify hazards and perform safety checks.
• Perform aerial rescues when necessary.
• Maintain clear communication with team and clients.
• Contribute to a safety-focused team culture.
