Job summary

SavATree is seeking a Crew Lead Tree Climber to join our General Tree Care Team. You will lead pruning, removals, and cabling projects, leveraging your climbing and safety expertise to protect client landscapes and ensure premium workmanship.

You will guide a team, model safety standards, and coordinate with clients to deliver reliable, high-quality tree services across challenging terrains and weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid US driver’s license; CDL a plus.
• Authorization to work legally in the US.
• Passion for outdoor work and environmental stewardship.
• Experience in climbing, pruning, and safety for tree care.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality tree care: pruning, removals, cabling.
• Climb trees safely with ropes, saddles, ladders.
• Operate chainsaws, bucket trucks, and related equipment.
• Apply ANSI A300 pruning standards and safety practices.
• Ensure proper pruning cuts to preserve tree health and structure.
• Assist in removals using ropes, spikes, and safe takedowns.
• Identify hazards and conduct safety checks before/during/after jobs.
• Perform aerial rescues when necessary.
• Maintain clear communication with team and clients.
