Job summary

Truetimber Arborists is seeking an experienced Crew Leader (Tree Climber Foreman) to oversee daily operations of our General Tree Work crew in the field. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, leading a team, and delivering high-quality tree care while prioritizing safety.

The position requires climbing, rigging, pruning, removal, and operating equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and cranes, with emphasis on OSHA compliance and customer

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in the tree care industry.
• Hands-on tree climbing, rigging, pruning, removal, and general operations.
• Strong knowledge of tree biology, pruning techniques, equipment use, and safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL Class B with airbrake endorsement preferred.
• ISA Certifications (Arborist, Tree Worker Climber Specialist) or similar are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a tree care crew to ensure productivity and customer service.
• Plan and organize daily tasks, allocate resources, and delegate responsibilities.
• Operate and manage equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and cranes.
• Climb and perform tree work to support crew production.
• Conduct on-site safety meetings and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Maintain site cleanliness and ensure proper equipment and vehicle upkeep.
• Communicate with clients and crew to address concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Complete job paperwork, reports, and site assessments accurately and timely.
