Job summary

SavATree Bozeman is seeking a Tree Climber for our General Tree Care Team. This Crew Lead role offers opportunities to lead a crew on pruning, removals, and cabling while prioritizing safety and quality.

The position includes a sign-on bonus of $2,500 and hourly pay from $25 to $35 based on experience, plus paid PTO, health and dental insurance, 401(k) savings plan and equipment support.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver’s license and authorization to work in the U.S.
• Experience with pruning large trees and ornamentals
• Familiarity with ANSI pruning standards and safety guidelines
• Ability to climb safely without spurs

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality tree care including pruning, removals, and cabling
• Climb trees safely with proper techniques, ropes, saddle, and ladders
• Operate chainsaws, aerial lifts, and other equipment
• Apply ANSI A300 Pruning Standards and ANSI Z safety practices
• Ensure proper pruning cuts preserving tree health and structure
• Assist in removals using ropes, spikes, and safe takedowns
• Identify hazards and perform safety checks before, during, and after jobs
• Perform aerial rescues when necessary
• Maintain communication with team and clients for safety and service
• Take ownership and contribute to a safety-focused culture
• Work on a team with emphasis on quality and safety
