Job summary

SavATree seeks a Crew Lead Tree Climber to join our General Tree Care Team. You’ll perform pruning, removals, and cabling, climb safely using ropes, saddle, and ladders, and guide a crew to deliver high-quality work.

This role requires a valid US driver’s license, experience with chainsaws and aerial lifts, and a commitment to safety. We offer competitive pay up to $33.00/hr, comprehensive health and dental benefits, 401(k), and ongoing leadership training.

Qualifications

• Valid US driver's license (CDL a plus)
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Experience with pruning for large trees
• Comfortable climbing without spurs
• Knowledge of safety standards

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality tree care services including pruning, removals, and cabling.
• Climb trees safely using proper techniques and gear.
• Operate chainsaws, aerial lifts (bucket trucks), and other equipment.
• Ensure pruning cuts follow ANSI standards and safety guidelines.
• Lead and mentor the crew, ensuring clear communication with clients.
• Maintain safety checks and identify hazards before and during jobs.
