Job Description

The General Tree Care Team is the backbone of our operations. These skilled professionals work collaboratively to deliver high-quality tree care, maintaining and enhancing the health of our clients’ landscapes.

As a Tree Climber, you will work outdoors, visiting beautiful properties within your community. You will apply your climbing, pruning, and safety expertise to ensure the health and well-being of each landscape.

This position offers a pay range of $25 - $35 per hour, depending on experience, along with paid PTO, benefits, and a 401K plan.

What a typical day looks like

You will work with a team on a General Tree Care crew, focusing on providing high-quality tree services such as pruning, removals, and cable bracing. You will operate equipment safely and deliver excellent service to our clients.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience with proper pruning practices for large shade trees and ornamentals
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species, with knowledge of their characteristics
• Climb without spurs
• Knowledge of tree care safety standards
• Practical skills in chainsaw and equipment operation
• Experience with aerial lifts (bucket truck)
• Understanding of safety policies, hazard tree identification, and proper use of climbing equipment
• Proficiency in applying pruning cuts and using chainsaws effectively

Minimum Requirements

• 6 months to 1 year of tree climbing experience
• Desire to work outdoors
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; CDL A/B is a plus or willingness to obtain
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
