Job Summary

The General Tree Care Team are the muscle of our operation. These industrial athletes work together to provide high-quality tree care, helping to maintain and preserve the overall health of our clients’ landscapes.

This position pays $17-$35/hr depending on years of experience, plus paid PTO, benefits, and a 401K. There is also a $1,000 Sign-On Bonus.

The Crew Lead position is an advanced role for individuals who demonstrate leadership qualities and receive approval from local management to guide a work crew. Knowledge required includes: TCIA Crew Leader Training, Crew Safety, Personal Safety, hazard recognition, and the ability to supervise levels below.

Team members work outdoors on beautiful properties, applying expertise in climbing, pruning, and safety to ensure landscape health and client satisfaction.

The Crew Lead role is a specialized position for selected individuals demonstrating leadership and approved by management to direct a crew. Knowledge includes: TCIA Crew Leader Training, safety standards, hazard recognition, and supervisory skills.

Typical Day

Working with the team to provide quality tree care, including pruning, removals, cable bracing, and other related tasks. Safe operation of equipment and excellent client service are essential.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience in proper pruning of large shade and ornamental trees
• Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species
• Climbing skills without spurs
• Knowledge of tree care safety standards
• Experience with chainsaws and equipment
• Experience with aerial lifts (bucket trucks)
• Competence in all relevant skills for the role
• Strong understanding of safety policies and hazard identification
• Proper use of climbing gear and tools
• Knowledge of pruning standards and tree species-specific techniques
• Ability to safely set up and execute tree work, including drop techniques and rescue operations

Essential Requirements

• Desire to work outdoors
• Valid U.S. driver’s license; CDL a plus
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Physical ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
