Overview

Gateway Rehab offers an exciting opportunity for a Treatment Support Technician 1 at our Washington, PA location. This role involves facilitating programming and maintaining the therapeutic environment, with supervision and guidance provided.

Responsibilities

1. Facilitate discussion groups and activities.
2. Monitor patient behavior.
3. Conduct handbook orientation.
4. Search patient belongings, rooms, and persons.
5. Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and patients.
6. Assist patients with assessment forms.
7. Coordinate communication with family, friends, and referral sources.
8. Assist with crisis intervention.
9. Document patient interactions in progress notes.
10. Collect urine samples and handle drug screening paperwork.
11. Provide post-discharge contacts and referrals under therapist guidance.
12. Monitor and document medication intake, if applicable.
13. Assist in the gift shop, if applicable.
14. Manage menu and nutrition needs, if applicable.
15. Handle donations and patient requests, if relevant.
16. Supervise smoke breaks in the hospital setting, if applicable.
17. Complete intake paperwork as needed.
18. Oversee clients' ADLs, including chores, behaviors, and grooming.
19. Remain on duty until relieved.
20. Attend mandatory trainings and in-services.
21. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college coursework preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Pass PA Criminal History Record Check.
• Obtain PA or other state child abuse and FBI fingerprinting clearances.
• Complete CPR/First Aid training.
• Pass drug screening and TB testing.
• Mandatory staffing coverage to ensure a safe environment.
• Remain alert and awake during shifts.
• If in recovery, attest to at least 18 months of sobriety.
