Job summary

The City of Buffalo seeks an experienced administrator to direct the Administration functions and Capital Projects Programs at the Sewer Authority's Sewage Treatment Plant. The role works under the General Manager and assists the Treatment Plant Superintendent in a highly confidential, autonomous capacity to implement policies and monitor capital projects.

Responsibilities include budgeting, grant seeking, financial reporting, and coordinating with division heads to plan and evaluate programs,

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering with six years of administrative experience, three in engineering management.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with eight years of administrative experience, three in engineering management.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience as defined above.
• Administrative experience includes direction and control of an identifiable organizational unit; involves planning, resource allocation, and policy formulation.
• Engineering management means coordinating activities of people and resources to achieve engineering objectives.

Responsibilities

• Direct Administration functions and Capital Projects Programs at the Sewage Treatment Plant.
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of operation and capital projects budgets.
• Prepare financial reports and statements; track capital project progress.
• Collaborate with division heads to plan and establish programs and activities for capital projects.
• Supervise administrative functions within the Sewage Treatment Plant.
