Responsibilities
- Ensure patients understand and schedule necessary treatment.
- Coordinate communications between doctors and patients.
- Build and maintain doctor/hygiene schedules.
- Assist with patient inquiries, including insurance questions.
- Organize and present patient treatment plans with financial obligations and obtain agreement.
- Assist with general front office duties as needed.
- Conduct patient consultations and calculate fees.
- Assist patients with financing options and treatment concerns.
- Maintain and use tickler file and delayed treatment file.
- Notify patients when pre‑estimates come back and schedule appointments.
- Prepare treatment consent forms.
- Record chart entries from phone or in‑person conversations.
- Manage doctor charts for treatment plans, conferences, letters, phone calls.
- Prepare financial treatment plans and present options at appointment end.
- Assist with consultation appointments as directed by doctor.
- Make all financial arrangements post‑consultation.
- Set up appointments with specialists/general dentists.
- Coordinate with specialist's office and transmit necessary documents.
- Maintain patient system status.
- Schedule treatments after specialist completed treatment.
- Take patient or specialist calls regarding treatment.
- Meet with doctor daily to review schedule and important items.
- Update insurance information on all patients.
- Organize claim supporting materials.
- Assist insurance coordinator with billing codes.
- Verify patient benefit eligibility and dental history.
Personnel Requirements
- High school diploma.
- 1–2 years dental experience required.
- Good interpersonal skills and effective verbal communication.
- Team player with adaptability to office policy improvements.
- Conflict resolution experience.
- Customer service or patient relations experience.
- Quick response/accurate data entry.
- Ability to communicate all concerns to Office Manager.
- Legible handwriting for communications.
- Knowledge of dental software a plus.

- Guaranteed hourly rate $18–$23 DOE.
