This role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork in a hands-on environment. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, the ability to obtain a pesticide applicator license, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain and maintain a Pesticide applicator’s license.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be able to operate a PC.
• Must complete hazardous waste management training.
• Must have legible handwriting.
• Must use and maintain PPE required for the job.

Responsibilities

• Process paperwork for the treating plant, including reports and timesheets.
• Operate transfer deck to move charges between cylinders, kilns, and loading bays.
• Chain and un-chain treating charges.
• Assist in loading/unloading treating and kiln charges.
• Operate treating system in automatic and manual modes.
• Operate the block dissolver and mix system.
• Operate boilers and kilns.
• Keep plant area clean and organized.
• Apply treating solution to poles as needed.
• Transfer oil and treating solution between tanks.
• Test solution for specific gravity and PCP content.
