Job summary

The World Bank Treasury offers a 10-week Treasury Summer Internship in Washington, DC, from June 1 to August 9, 2027. Interns will rotate through three Treasury teams in three-week intervals and participate in weekly program sessions with mentors and senior staff.

Interns are paid between $22.70 (net for non-US citizens) and $27.70 (gross for US citizens) per hour for 400 hours, with in-person work and visa sponsorship where required. A capstone project is presented to management at the end.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in the second-to-last year of a four-year college degree program in finance, business, economics, or related field.
• Must graduate between December 2025 and September 2026.
• Must be available full-time for the internship period (June–August).
• Must not have a concurrent internship or employment contract.

Responsibilities

• Work full-time for ten weeks in Washington, DC (June 1 – August 9, 2027).
• Rotate through three Treasury teams on three-week intervals with mentorship.
• Present a capstone project to the Treasury management team at internship end.
• Engage in weekly program discussions and career-focused sessions.
