Job summary

Sallie Mae is seeking a Treasury Operations Manager to lead daily cash management, funds transfers, and liquidity operations. You will ensure timely, accurate, and controlled processing and supervise a team across Treasury Ops.

You will also drive automation, support Treasury tech initiatives, and collaborate with partners across Accounting, Compliance, Risk, and Legal to uphold governance standards. This role offers hybrid work in US locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
• 5-10 years of Treasury Operations, cash management, banking operations, or related financial services experience.
• 2+ years of people leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
• Experience with cash positioning, wire transfers, bank account management, payment operations, and operational controls.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and governance practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience utilizing financial systems, general ledger platforms, databases, and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cash management, funds transfer operations, and liquidity-related processes.
• Manage daily Treasury Operations activities including funds transfers, cash positioning, bank accounts, payment processing, and reconciliation support.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies while maintaining strong controls.
• Support Treasury technology initiatives and participate in future Treasury Management System implementations.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Technology, and external banking partners to follow policies and governance standards.
