Job summary

Guardian Life Insurance Company seeks a 2027 Summer Intern in Corporate Finance & Risk – Treasury Operations to support daily investment operations and assist with trade settlement, cash, and position reconciliation. You will work closely with the Investment Operations team, learn from senior leaders, and gain exposure to Guardian’s finance functions.

The 10-week, paid internship runs May 27, 2027 to August 6, 2027, in New York, NY.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a BS Finance program and pursuing graduation in 2028.
Interest in exploring multiple areas of Finance and Risk within the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail; tech-savvy mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

Support the Investment Operations team in daily operational processes related to investment portfolios and transactions.
Assist with monitoring and resolving trade settlement, cash, and position reconciliation exceptions.
Analyze operational data and contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.
Learn from leaders, mentors, and teammates across Guardian to develop professionally.
Gain exposure to Guardian's purpose, values, and product/service offerings.
Build a network with other interns and various parts of the business.
