Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Treasury Manager in San Francisco to build systems, workflows, and controls enabling treasury to scale. You will own operations, design processes, and implement automation and AI-enabled execution across cash visibility, payments, and forecasting.

You will define requirements for tools, dashboards, and system improvements, identify pain points, and reduce key-person risk while ensuring strong human oversight.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of treasury or finance operations experience.
• Experience building automation and AI-enabled workflows.
• Ability to map and redesign cross-functional processes.

Responsibilities

• Own core treasury operations across cash, payments, bank admin, forecasting, close, FBAR prep.
• Build scalable workflows for intake, approvals, payments, bank changes, KYC, access reviews, evidence collection, resolution.
• Translate recurring treasury processes into requirements for tools, dashboards, AI workflows, and system improvements.
• Identify pain points, duplicate work, control gaps, data-quality issues, and key-person risk; design improvements.
• Partner with Treasury, Accounting, Tax, FP&A, AP, Payroll, Legal, Engineering, and banking to improve handoffs and reporting.
• Use AI, workflow tools, treasury systems, bank platforms, ERPs, and data tools to improve monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Maintain accountability for payment approvals, cash movement, bank access, settlements, control evidence, and exceptions.
• Build and maintain SOPs, controls, KPI reporting, dashboards, trackers, and audit-ready docs.
• Support new entity launches, M&A integration, and banking changes with repeatable playbooks and scalable workflows.
• Coordinate intercompany funding, settlement activity, investment ops, LOCs, guarantees, close, and related handoffs.
