Job summary

Newrez is seeking a motivated Treasury Analyst to join the Treasury Department on-site in Fort Washington, PA. You will support daily cash movement, reconciliations, and liquidity management, collaborating with Accounting, Front Office, and Legal teams.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics and has 2–5 years in a similar financial services role. Proficiency in Excel and Kyriba is essential to succeed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in a similar role in financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed income products.
  • Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas) and MS Office.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate daily wire transactions and manage intra-company liquidity.
  • Perform daily cash sheets and balance reconciliations.
  • Assist with user access in depository banking portals and Kyriba.
  • Analyze activity from prime brokerage, custodian, and operating accounts.
  • Support accounting by classifying cash to proper GL codes.
  • Research and resolve failed payments.
  • Support SOX compliance with auditors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Primary Function: Newrez is looking for a motivated self-starter to join the Treasury Department. Reporting to the Manager, Treasury, you will be part of a vibrant, fast paced office environment with exposure to complex financial products and investments in the residential mortgage business. As a Treasury Analyst you will support the treasury department in daily cash movement and reconciliation. This role will have direct exposure to members of the Accounting Team, Front Office and Legal. The Treasury Operations Analyst must have the ability to absorb concepts quickly, possess a strong work ethic, have excellent organizational and communicational skills, be systematic and careful in his/her work execution and be able to perform well both independently and as part of a team.

Principal Duties:
  • Initiate daily wire transactions and assist with managing intra-company liquidity.
  • Perform daily analysis and maintenance of cash sheets and account balance reconciliations.
  • Assist with managing user access in both our depository banking portals and our Treasury Management System, Kyriba.
  • Daily analysis of business activity from prime brokerage, custodian, and operating accounts.
  • Support the accounting team by assisting in classifying incoming and outgoing cash to ensure proper coding allocation within the General Ledger.
  • Research and troubleshoot any failed payments.
  • Calculation and instruction of pair-off/wire amounts related to repo activity.
  • Engage with Internal/External Auditors to provide necessary support for SOX compliance.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role in financial services.
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
  • An excellent understanding of fixed income products.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (including but not limited to V-lookups, pivot tables and complex formulas).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem solving, written and communication skills.
