What You’ll Be Doing:
The Treasury Operations Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring accurate cash management and financial reporting. This role is responsible for reconciling cash flows, maintaining documentation for audits, and collaborating with accounting to ensure seamless treasury operations.
- Cash Reconciliation: Reconcile daily cash activity against cash flows in the treasury workstation (FIS Quantum), ensuring accurate accounting classifications. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between system records and bank statements. Perform daily reconciliations of cash receipts to maintain alignment between bank accounts and the general ledger.
- Documentation and Reporting: Compile and organize supporting documentation into daily cash packages for accounting and audit purposes. Generate weekly property funding reports and ensure payments match ledger activity. Maintain detailed records to support audit and compliance requirements.
- ERP and Month-End Processes: Finalize cash activity and upload data to the ERP system on a weekly and monthly basis. Support monthly and year-end closing by ensuring all cash receipts are accurately recorded.
- Process Optimization: Leverage tools in FIS Quantum to automate transaction matching and improve reconciliation processes. Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency in cash applications. Document all processes to ensure consistency and clarity.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with accounting, tax, and other stakeholders to gather accurate coding and communicate payment statuses. Manage the ACH Debit process, ensuring all debits are pre-approved and properly coded.
- Banking Coordination: Download and review monthly bank statements to verify alignment with recorded transactions. Support property funding transactions and respond to banking-related inquiries.
- Other Responsibilities: Reconcile monthly purchase credit card transactions and rent revenue accounts. Continuously improve processes to utilize treasury tools effectively, including automating transaction rules in FIS Quantum.
What You’ll Need to Thrive:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting, treasury, or financial operations.
- Strong understanding of general ledger reconciliation and ERP systems.
- Experience with FIS Quantum or similar treasury workstations is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up capabilities.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with treasury management software and bank platforms.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP systems.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office environment. Hybrid working environment: In-office (at 2 N. Riverside Plaza, Chicago, IL) and remote, in alignment with the company’s hybrid attendance policy.
Salary:
$61,286 - $84,268 / year; in addition to base salary, a discretionary annual bonus is provided.
The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.
