Treasury Manager –
The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing the organization’s daily cash flow, banking relationships, debt management, and liquidity strategy. This role ensures that adequate funding is available for business operations and strategic initiatives, while also identifying opportunities for risk mitigation and return on excess cash. The Treasury Manager partners closely with finance, accounting, and executive leadership to align treasury operations with overall financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily cash positioning and forecasting to ensure adequate liquidity across business units.
- Lead cash flow analysis and forecasting on a short-term and long-term basis.
- Maintain and develop banking relationships to ensure optimal terms, fees, and service levels.
- Administer the company’s debt portfolio, including interest payments, covenant compliance, and loan renewals.
- Oversee and optimize cash concentration, investment strategies, and intercompany funding processes.
- Recommend and implement treasury policies, internal controls, and best practices.
- Support risk management efforts related to interest rate, foreign exchange, and credit exposure.
- Collaborate with AP/AR and accounting teams to streamline treasury-related processes.
- Manage treasury operations systems and ensure data accuracy and process efficiency.
- Prepare treasury-related reports and presentations for senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
- Coordinate bank account openings, closings, and authorized signer updates.
- Lead treasury aspects of M&A activity, divestitures, or restructuring as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA/CFA is a plus).
- 5–8+ years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or banking.
- Strong understanding of cash management, financial instruments, and capital markets.
- Experience with treasury management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to executives.
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.
- Familiarity with banking regulations, SOX compliance, and treasury risk practices.
