Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead all cash management activities across entities.
  • Design and maintain short- and long-term cash forecasting models for leadership.
  • Optimize cash flow and liquidity management.
  • Oversee daily treasury operations including bank accounts and funding requirements.
  • Approve wire transfers, ACH, and other payments with strong controls.
  • Manage banking relationships and evaluate new products and services.
  • Lead TMS implementation and ongoing enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and IT to align forecasting with reporting.
  • Identify automation and process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain treasury controls and support audits.
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs for cash and liquidity visibility.

Job description

Our client, a growing and dynamic retail organization headquartered in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Treasury Manager to lead its treasury function. This is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for owning cash management operations and designing a scalable cash forecasting framework, while also leading the implementation and optimization of a new Treasury Management System (TMS).

This position offers strong visibility across the organization and the opportunity to modernize treasury processes within a fast-paced, consumer-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead all cash management activities, including daily cash positioning, liquidity management, and banking operations across multiple entities
  • Design, build, and continuously enhance short- and long-term cash forecasting models, providing actionable insights to senior leadership
  • Oversee and optimize cash flow processes to ensure adequate liquidity and efficient capital utilization
  • Manage daily treasury operations, including monitoring bank accounts, funding requirements, and intercompany cash movements
  • Approve and oversee execution of wire transfers, ACH transactions, and other payment activities with strong internal controls
  • Lead relationships with banking partners, including service optimization, fee management, and new product implementation
  • Oversee debt compliance, reporting, and covenant tracking (as applicable)
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing enhancement of a Treasury Management System (TMS), acting as the internal subject matter expert
  • Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, and IT to align cash forecasting with financial planning and reporting
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation, process improvement, and standardization across treasury operations
  • Establish and maintain strong treasury controls and support internal/external audits
  • Develop treasury reporting dashboards and KPIs to improve visibility into cash and liquidity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive treasury or cash management experience, with demonstrated ownership of treasury operations
  • Proven experience building and managing cash forecasting models in a multi-entity or complex environment
  • Strong understanding of liquidity management, banking operations, and treasury controls
  • Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, scenario analysis) and proficiency with financial systems highly preferred
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
