Job summary

First Merchants Corporation offers a 12-week paid Summer Internship Program in Treasury Management. Interns will support the Sales team, conduct client research, prepare portfolio reviews, and assist with pipeline activities while gaining exposure to commercial banking operations.

Interns collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in client projects, and develop skills in data analysis, communication, and project management.

Qualifications

• Full-time Bachelor degree-seeking student at an accredited college or university.
• Be available to work 40 hours per week from May 17th- August 6th, 2027.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Have demonstrated interest in the industry and/or specific area of interest.
• Possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Be able and willing to travel periodically throughout the First Merchants footprint, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support Treasury Management Sales team with day-to-day responsibilities, projects, and initiatives.
• Research client and prospect opportunities, prepare sales and portfolio reviews, and assist with pipeline reporting.
• Analyze treasury management products and services and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in client-focused projects.
• Develop skills in sales support, financial analysis, communication, and relationship building.
