Job summary

Dorchester County Government is seeking a capable intern to support treasury operations in St. George. The role involves reviewing current processes with staff, editing documents, and preparing final project revisions for approval by the Treasurer or Deputy Treasurer.

You will help develop Treasury procedures used for training, complete deliverables on schedule, and maintain detailed records. The position requires strong detail orientation, communication, and Microsoft Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; capable of presenting findings.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand current processes with staff, make edits.
• Submit the final revision of project to the Treasurer and/or Deputy Treasurer for approval.
• Assist in the development of Treasurer’s Procedures used as training tools for incoming staff.
• Completion of assigned deliverables within project timelines and maintaining detailed records of work.
• Observing and participating in assigned departmental activities.
• Performing other duties as assigned by area supervisor.
