Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Treasury Operations Intern for a 12-week summer 2027 program. You’ll support daily cash management, banking workflows, and liquidity operations across global entities while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to maintain efficient financial processes for millions of customers.

You’ll develop dashboards, participate in reconciliation tasks, and work on process improvements. Requires a Finance-related degree and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field with expected graduation between Dec 2026 and Jun 2027
• Demonstrated interest in payments, banking, corporate treasury, or fintech through coursework, internships, or projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to build and maintain operational models and trackers
• Clear written and verbal communication skills to present findings to cross-functional stakeholders
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflows

• Support daily treasury operations including bank account funding, balance monitoring, and liquidity reporting across Coinbase entities
• Own reconciliation tasks and maintain fiat safeguarding controls for client funds
• Partner with banking partners and internal teams to triage and resolve payment rail issues
• Build and improve operational dashboards and reporting tools that increase visibility into cash positions and payment flows
• Execute research projects focused on payment rail optimization, new banking relationships, or process improvements

This is a 12-week internship during summer 2027.

You’ll join the Treasury Operations team within Finance, which is responsible for the efficient management of Coinbase's liquidity, funding, and banking operations across all global entities. As a Treasury Operations Intern, you'll support day-to-day cash management, payment operations, and banking workflows while gaining exposure to how a leading crypto company moves money at scale. You'll work alongside experienced treasury professionals and partner with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to help keep our financial operations running smoothly for millions of customers.

What you'll do:

• Support daily treasury operations including bank account funding, balance monitoring, and liquidity reporting across Coinbase entities

Required Skills and Experience:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline with an expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027
• Demonstrated interest in payments, banking, corporate treasury, or fintech through coursework, prior internships, or personal projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets with the ability to build and maintain operational models and trackers
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to cross-functional stakeholders
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target hourly rate for this position can range as detailed below.

Hourly Rate: $40 — $40 USD
