Zions Bancorporation is seeking a Financial Analyst in our Corporate Treasury Investments team, based in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on valuation, reporting, and stress testing of the securities portfolio.

The position requires a flexible mindset to contribute to a broad set of tasks beyond core responsibilities. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in accounting/finance/economics and 0-2+ years of related experience, with strong Excel skills (including VBA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
• 0-2+ years experience in accounting or financial analysis.
• Combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
• Significant experience with Excel, including VBA macros.
• In-depth understanding of securities valuation principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform attribution analysis for period-over-period reports.
• Perform SOX controls.
• Document reporting processes (procedures, methodologies).
• Provide support to accounting and finance groups across the organization.
• Demonstrate analytical aptitude and critical thinking.
• Develop and improve processes for management reporting.
• Handle large data sets in reporting tools and ensure data quality.
• Learn new systems as applicable.
• Remain flexible and take on other duties as needed.
