Job summary

Henrico County Virginia is seeking a Treasury Collections Officer to research and resolve delinquent accounts within the Virginia Debt Set-Off Program. The role leads others temporarily and supports the Finance Call Center, across in-person and remote communications.

The position requires a high school diploma and extensive experience, with an expected hiring range and ongoing checks. This is a full-time role in the Finance Department.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tax collection, debt recovery, bankruptcy, and related laws.
• Ability to research public records and manage electronic data.
• Experience with databases, collection systems, and call center platforms.

Responsibilities

• Research and resolve delinquent accounts; handle high-volume portfolio.
• Communicate with taxpayers and agency stakeholders regarding balances and payment plans.
• Maintain accurate account records and reporting in systems.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and County policies.
