Job summary

Abacus Group seeks a Treasury Associate to join its family office team in midtown Manhattan. The role focuses on daily cash management, wire transfers, ACH processing, reconciliations, and liquidity tracking across multiple entities.

The successful candidate will manage banking relationships, ensure compliance with controls, and support treasury reporting. 2+ years in treasury or banking operations and strong Excel skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in treasury, cash management, or banking operations (family office, private bank, or corporate treasury experience a plus).
• Hands-on experience preparing and processing wire transfers and ACH transactions.
• Proficiency with online banking platforms (e.g., J.P. Morgan Access, Bank of America CashPro, Citi, Northern Trust, or similar).
• Strong Excel skills; experience with treasury management systems or accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, etc.) a plus.
• High degree of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive financial information with discretion.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with banks and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process outgoing wire transfers and ACH transactions accurately and promptly.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and entities.
• Monitor cash positions and prepare cash balance reports.
• Maintain relationships with banking partners and manage platform access and signatories.
• Support month-end and year-end treasury reporting and controls.
