Job summary

The Polk County Clerk of Courts seeks a Manager Treasury/AR/Clerk to the Board in Bartow. The role oversees the Comptroller to the BoCC department, directing staff, planning projects and ensuring financial reporting in compliance with laws and policies.

Eligible candidates bring a accounting background, strong leadership and experience in governmental finance. This is a full-time position with a competitive pay scale and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university; 5+ years related accounting/auditing experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, and regulations.
• Ability to write reports and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information to groups of managers and the public.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations within the Comptroller to the BoCC; plan, schedule and set goals for projects.
• Supervise assigned employees; provide direction, coordination and evaluation.
• Hire, train, appraise performance, and address staff issues; foster teamwork.
• Maintain procedures for the Comptroller to the BoCC Department and ensure compliance.
