Job summary

Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) seeks a Treasury Accountant to support governmental accounting, treasury, banking functions, reconciliations and financial reporting across its 10 colleges. The role combines daily cash management, bank reconciliations, and journal entries in a fast-paced, collaborative environment within the District Support Services team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, auditing, economics, business or public administration and two years of relevant experience.
• Two years of experience applying GAAP theory and practice and tax laws related to accounting and reporting.
• Experience with MS Office, especially Excel; computerized accounting systems.
• Experience with banking transactions and banking systems.

Responsibilities

• Credit card and merchant ID management and merchant set-ups for MCCCD colleges.
• Daily cash management and fund transfers to support operations.
• Bank reconciliations for multiple accounts including journal entries.
• Manage bank portal administration, user access, audits, and transfers.
• Handle MSRP refunds/voids/stop pay requests and related duties.
• Contribute to treasury projects as assigned.
