Job summary

North Olmsted City Schools is seeking a School Treasurer who possesses a valid State of Ohio School Treasurer License. The candidate will have knowledge of school finance and budgeting, and maintain high ethical standards regarding public funds.

The role requires effective communication and strong leadership skills. The search process is flexible, with a start date no earlier than August 1, 2026. Compensation includes a competitive salary and multi-year contract.

Required Qualifications

• Possession of a valid State of Ohio School Treasurer License
• Knowledge of school finance, budgeting, and financial forecasts
• High ethical standards in regard to use of public funds
• Ability and willingness to work in a professional, collaborative, and supportive manner with all stakeholders (Board of Education, community members, staff, students, families, City of North Olmsted)
• The ability to communicate consistently in a clear, concise, and effective manner with all stakeholders
• Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively lead, inspire, and manage the Treasurer's Department

The Search Process

The North Olmsted City School's Board of Education is committed to hiring the candidate who best meets the needs of the district. The selected candidate will represent North Olmsted City Schools in an ethical and professional manner. Given the timing of the posting and the board's desire to hire a treasurer who will be the best fit for our stakeholder's, the search process is flexible and open ended. The board encourages all applicants with the required license, qualifications, and professionalism to apply for the position. This includes, but is not limited to, current treasurers, applicants who are ready to take the next step in their career, and applicants who are interested in serving as treasurer in an interim or transitional manner. The board may also consider qualified retire/rehire candidates.

Start Date

Flexible start date beginning no earlier than August 1, 2026, but no later than January 1, 2027.
