Job summary

Integrated Power Services, LLC. seeks Traveling Wind Field Service Technicians to keep wind turbines turning across North America. This role features a 3 weeks on / 1 week off schedule, travel-intensive work, competitive hourly pay, daily per diem, and overtime opportunities.

You will perform generator and motor repairs, diagnostic testing, and on-site maintenance with a mechanical background. Strong safety practices and customer-focused service are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of driving experience and a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including weekends, and to work overtime.
• Ability to follow a 3 weeks on / 1 week off schedule.
• Strong mathematical ability for basic calculations (percentages, fractions).
• Excellent attention to detail and adherence to instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks on wind generators, including bearing replacements and addressing slip ring and grounding ring issues.
• Conduct up-tower winding repairs, measurements of critical dimensions, and up-tower machining.
• Demonstrate safety, initiative, and commitment to quality in field work.
• Assist in disassembly and installation of electric motors and generators on-site.
• Safely lift, tighten, adjust, and secure heavy objects to enable work duties.
• Execute intermediate maintenance and troubleshooting tasks for wind turbines.
• Document turbine performance and issues accurately in reports.
