Job summary

IPS is seeking Traveling Wind Field Service Technicians who will travel to wind turbine sites to perform generator repairs, maintenance, and testing up-tower. The role features a 3 weeks on / 1 week off schedule, generous overtime, per diem, and opportunities for advancement in a rapidly growing industry.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical background, a valid driver's license, and a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of driving experience and a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel extensively including weekends.
• Mechanical background and ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform wind generator and motor repairs and testing up-tower.
• Conduct bearing replacements, slip ring and grounding ring maintenance.
• Carry out on-site disassembly and installation of motors/generators.
• Document turbine performance and issues; follow safety and quality procedures.
