Strong GE platform knowledge (1X, 2X, converter) and leadership experience are essential. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, data monitoring, and collaboration with the operations team to minimize downtime.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical wind training preferred.
• 3–5 years experience in wind turbine maintenance or similar field is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on wind turbines.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and data analysis tools.
• Ability to interpret drawings and manuals; proficient with hand and power tools.

About the role

We are currently seeking experienced Level II Wind Technicians to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in leading maintenance and repair efforts on wind turbines, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Candidates must possess strong technical expertise with GE platforms (1X, 2X, converter, and troubleshooting), leadership abilities, and a passion for renewable energy.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on wind turbines, including inspections, lubrication, and component replacement.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic system issues.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to scheduled maintenance plans.
• Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components, ensuring safe and efficient turbine operation.
• Monitor and document turbine performance, including data collection and analysis.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Collaborate with the operations team to optimize turbine performance and minimize downtime.
• Complete maintenance reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with industry advancements and participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in wind turbine maintenance or a related field is preferred.

• Proven experience in wind turbine maintenance or a similar field is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems commonly found in wind turbines.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and data analysis tools.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety protocols.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Additional qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Technical degree or certification in wind energy or related field preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Wind Technician or similar role, with demonstrated troubleshooting and leadership experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with a deep understanding of wind turbine systems and components.
• Proficiency in hydraulic systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to work at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must live within 45 minutes of the site location.
• Must be able to climb 100m (300ft) multiple times daily.

Eligibility Requirements

• Ability and willingness to travel domestically 90% of the time, as required.
• Ability and willingness to operate heavy equipment.
• Ability and willingness to signal and rig loads up to 100 tons.
• Ability and willingness to work and climb heights a minimum of 300ft.
• Ability to meet specific OSHA weight limits of 250 to 300lbs max.
• Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to handle repetitive weight - 50 lbs.
• Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.
• Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments including but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities.
• Ability and willingness to be available for rotation shift schedules 24 hours, seven days a week.
