Job summary

iBT is seeking a Traveling Vibration Analyst/Maintenance Technician based in Merriam, KS, to perform predictive maintenance field projects. The role requires up to 20% overnight travel, on-call duties, and occasional weekends. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with travel within the Kansas City metro area as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 5 years' experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license with clean record.
• Ability to travel overnight 20% of the time.
• Work environment includes indoor/outdoor conditions; PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect, analyze, and report on equipment health using vibration analysis.
• Diagnose imbalance, misalignment, wear, and faults in rotating equipment.
• Repair critical plant equipment with accuracy to reduce downtime.
• Oversee projects at customer sites and write comprehensive reports.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships built on trust.
