Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc is seeking an experienced Utility-Scale Heavy Civil Foreman to lead field crews on earthwork, grading, excavation, and site development nationwide. You will plan, coordinate, and execute heavy civil operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-schedule delivery with supervision from the Superintendent and PM team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in utility-scale heavy civil or earthwork construction.
• Minimum 2 years as Heavy Civil Foreman leading field crews.
• Experience reading grading plans, specs, and drawings.
• Ability to lead multiple craft personnel while maintaining safety and quality.
• Proven safety, accountability, and teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily heavy civil construction activities for utility-scale projects.
• Plan daily work assignments and coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Read and interpret grading plans, specs, and drawings.
• Coordinate excavation, grading, drainage, and site development activities.
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members into future leaders.
