Job summary

HKA Enterprises is seeking a Transmission Lineman to build, maintain, and repair overhead transmission lines. You will operate digger trucks and bucket trucks to work on de-energized systems, and travel as needed. Must be willing to travel and work away from home.

Responsibilities include installing supports and structures, maintaining lines from 69 kV to 500 kV, and upholding OSHA safety standards while mentoring junior crew members.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma required.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home.
• Experience with heavy equipment (backhoe, trencher, excavator, skid steer, bulldozer).
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background/MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain wood poles, H-frames, steel poles, lattice towers, and concrete poles.
• Install, operate, maintain, and repair overhead electrical power lines and systems.
• Assist in construction of transmission and substation facilities.
• Work on structures of transmission lines from 69 kV to 500 kV.
• Uphold OSHA and safety requirements.
• Mentor ground persons and apprentice line persons.
