Job summary

Ajax Building Company is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on active/occupied detention facility projects across Georgia and the Southeast. You will oversee craft personnel, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure safety, schedule and budget adherence while traveling as project needs require.

Ideal candidates have 8–10+ years of supervisory construction experience, with strong background in detention facilities and a willingness to travel to Florida and beyond.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of supervisory experience in the construction field.
• Strong experience leading active/occupied detention facility projects.
• Ability to travel to project assignments throughout Florida; Southeast travel preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, evaluate and terminate craft personnel.
• Supervise craft personnel and subcontractors to meet design, budget and schedule.
• Assist project management with drawings and methods.
• Promote a safe work environment and enforce safety policies.
• Travel to Georgia sites and Southeast assignments as needed.
