As part of the Advanced Facilities team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals.

Role Summary

The Superintendent 2 will help plan, manage, and execute all aspects of assigned projects with some complexity. This role is responsible for managing materials and equipment, assisting with people management, ensuring documentation is complete, and meeting project goals to ensure timely and profitable completion, all in support of JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

• Lead the company's safety culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment, investigating safety incidents, and retraining staff as needed.
• Manage subcontractors and organize overall job workflow.
• Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO on small projects or parts of larger projects.
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate and manage the project site.
• Lead meetings including daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
• Participate in project progress and OAC meetings.
• Manage project schedule and monitor budget and costs.
• Communicate project information to stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation and logs.
• Approve and record costs, and prepare reports.
• Evaluate progress and adjust plans accordingly.
• Manage materials and equipment needs.
• Support procurement processes.
• Assist in selecting tools and equipment for self-perform operations.
• Manage timecard approvals and ensure accurate reporting.
• Ensure quality compliance and supervise closeout activities.
• Participate in project pursuit, planning, and review meetings.
• Lead talent recruitment and promote diversity and inclusion.

Additional Responsibilities

• Manage complex stand-alone projects from start to finish.
• Handle project management, scheduling, safety, and quality.
• Identify and manage project risks.
• Participate in project pursuits and negotiations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, project management, and scheduling software.
• Knowledge of construction processes, safety, and quality standards.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project risks.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's preferred.
• 5+ years construction experience, including 3+ years supervision.
• Experience with Lean principles and industrial projects preferred.
