Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking a Traveling Superintendent with 5–15+ years of progressive leadership in ground-up industrial, cold storage, wastewater, or food & beverage processing projects. The role involves managing field operations from day one, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• 5-25+ years of construction experience, with at least 5 years as a lead superintendent on cold storage or food and beverage processing facilities.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to meet physical job demands.
• Proven ability to lead traveling project assignments (regional or nationwide).
• Strong communication with owners, utilities, inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Experience with fast-track, design-build environments.
• Proficient with construction documentation and scheduling tools (Procore a plus).

Responsibilities

• Attend post-award meetings to receive project information and preplanning details.
• Help prepare construction activity schedules and staffing plans.
• Direct and control the total project to meet specs and timelines.
• Coordinate subcontractors and align with project schedules and progress.
• Prepare job progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs.
• Cooperate with owner representatives and architects to align on progress.
• Maintain daily project diary documenting key facts and approvals.
• Adhere to safety programs across all project phases.
• Lead teams, manage multiple activities, and resolve conflicts.
• Strive for high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
