Job summary

ARCO is seeking an experienced lead superintendent to manage ground-up, cold storage and light industrial construction projects across the Southeast and beyond. You will lead field operations, coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors, and ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality standards.

You will oversee safety programs, manage daily site activities, and travel nationally as needed to deliver successful, on-time project completions while maintaining strong client

Qualifications

• 5–25 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years as a lead superintendent on warehouse or distribution center projects of 100k sq ft or more.
• At least five years of recent experience working within the Southeast.
• Willing to travel nationally.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and project scheduling programs.

Responsibilities

• Attend post-award review meetings and receive project information for preplanning.
• Assist in preparing a schedule of construction activities, organization structure, staffing, and equipment needs.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specifications and schedule.
• Coordinate with project manager/engineer for materials, shop drawings, and samples approvals.
• Coordinate subcontractors to integrate with schedules and progress.
• Inform supervisors and subcontractors of schedule changes.
• Prepare job progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs.
• Review requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and other reports.
• Cooperate with owner representatives and architects in the best long-term interest of the company.
• Hold site meetings with project manager and regional manager.
• Report regularly on progress, plans, and issues affecting costs or schedules.
