Job summary

T.W. Frierson Contractor, Inc. in Nashville, TN seeks a Traveling Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects from site planning through execution.

You will build client and subcontractor relationships while ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence across multiple sites within a 100-mile radius of Nashville. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in commercial construction, including 5 years as Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent, and are willing to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of work experience in commercial construction, with 5+ years as Project Engineer/Assistant Superintendent.
• Experience leading commercial construction projects valued at $5M+ or greater.
• Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making/problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel locally and out of state to manage projects.
• OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Refine project goals and schedules with clients upon assignment.
• Assist design team on negotiated design-build projects and identify inefficiencies.
• Establish and maintain project goals and success criteria.
• Plan, prioritize, supervise multiple on-site activities.
• Coordinate work with crafts and subcontractors to ensure productivity and contractual performance.
• Maintain project budgets and schedules; update weekly with Project Manager.
