Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead data center projects from start to finish at a Union/major client site. You will direct subcontractors, drive schedule adherence, and ensure safety, quality, and profitability through proactive field leadership.

The role requires 5–25 years in data center construction, with strong proficiency in Procore/Bluebeam and MS Excel, plus a valid driver's license. Expect comprehensive benefits and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of large-scale data center projects from preconstruction to punch list.
• Direct subcontractors, resolve conflicts, and partner with project team on schedule and costs.
• Review requisitions, PO’s, invoices, and key project documents with emphasis on safety and quality.
• Maintain regular communication on progress, plans and issues affecting costs or schedules.
• Prepare daily reports detailing key project events and outcomes.

A Day In The Life

• Lead the execution of large-scale, mission-critical data center projects from preconstruction through punch list


• Demonstrate strong leadership with ability and willingness to face challenges, direct subcontractors, and effectively resolve conflicts


• Partner with the project team to support the construction schedule, including activity sequencing, manpower, and equipment needs


• Ensure work meets specifications, stays on schedule, and achieves target profitability


• Assist in the preparation of job progress and cost reports to accurately reflect actual costs


• Review and approve requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and key project documents


• Maintain constant communication with the project team to keep them informed of job progress, plans, and issues that may impact costs or schedules


• Complete daily reports documenting key project details, events, conditions, visitors, client interactions, commitments, and approvals


• Enforce adherence to the company’s safety program in all phases of the project


• Lead with integrity and a commitment to quality, upholding company values and focusing on exceeding internal and external client expectations

Necessary Qualifications

• 5-25 years of experience as a Lead Superintendent, with at least 5 years in data center construction or mission critical projects


• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g. Procore, Bluebeam, Excel)


• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in your state of residence


• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: standing or walking for long periods of time, occasionally on uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and/or lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds.
