Job summary

Shawmut Design and Construction seeks a seasoned Superintendent for hospitality projects, including travel to Charleston, SC. The role leads daily field operations, ensures safety, and upholds schedule and budget goals while coordinating with the project team and clients.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years supervising complex hospitality renovations, a proven track record in on-site leadership, and a strong commitment to safety and team development.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as a Superintendent on complex hospitality projects ranging from $10-40M.
• Willingness to travel to Charleston, SC for project.
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and paying close attention to details of hospitality construction.
• Experience in out-of-ground renovations and high-end finishes in occupied/unoccupied environments.
• Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Experience in managing, training and developing people.
• National Travel is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily field operations to ensure safety, construction progress, quality, and a clean site.
• Develop understanding of project strategy, financial goals, scheduling, logistics, and milestones.
• Collaborate with PM to maintain updated project schedule reflecting changes and cost/time requirements.
• Maintain open dialogue with project team on changes, conditions, subcontractor relations, and deviations.
• Foster positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors and instill this in the team.

Responsibilities

We are seeking local Superintendents who love to travel for project assignments! Are you a builder who loves to travel? Is looking to build cutting-edge projects? First Finish provides our superintendents with the necessary support and resources to excel in their role and make sure all projects are completed to the highest standard. Our superintendents are an integral part of the project team and become involved with projects during the preconstruction phase. As a senior member of the team, superintendents are also responsible for assisting in the professional growth of team members and maintaining relationships with clients.

• Lead all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control and a clean site.
• Develop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, inspections.
• Work in partnership with PM to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project.
• Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project.
• Always promotes positive relationships by dealing expertly and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors while instilling this philosophy in the project team.

• Project experience should include out of the ground complex renovation work in occupied and unoccupied environments, urban and suburban work locations, and a complete understanding of high-level finishes.
• Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
• Experience in managing, training and developing people.
• Experience in computer technology.
• National Travel is required for this position.

Salary Range Information

Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 The range is South Carolina based. Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles) and internal company equity.
