Job summary

Energy Erectors, Inc. (EEI) seeks a Substation Equipment Operator to support high‑voltage power projects across New Mexico.

You will assist in constructing and upgrading substations, working with transformers, switchgear, bus structures, and related equipment on multiple sites. This traveling role requires safety discipline, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and OSHA 10 certification, with per diem where applicable.

Qualifications

• Have a valid State Class C driver's license.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work on ladders and hydraulic lifts.
• Learn operation of construction equipment.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while assisting in new/existing construction and various tasks such as demolition, site preparation, excavating, backfilling and landscaping, trenching, pole setting, cable labelling, and other substation related tasks.
• Assist with installing transformer and transformer banks, bus structures and switchgear, lines (underground/overhead), ground grid, control buildings, and other related substation material tasks.
• Will work with man baskets, skid steers, shovels, compactors, back hoes and other industry equipment.
• Frequently work around energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care.
• Maintain company tools in good working order.
• Understands and complies with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
