Job summary

Tradesmen International is actively seeking Traveling Specialty Welders for projects in the Cameron, LA area. This full-time role offers multiple shifts, a pay rate of $52–$54 per hour plus a per diem of $105 per day for travelers 60 miles from the site.

Requirements include a minimum of 4 years' industrial construction/maintenance Flux Core welding experience, plus passing drug, hearing, and respirator tests. Weld tests must be completed successfully (Flux Core GTAW/FCAW, and GMAW-RMD/GTAW).

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align and weld fabricated components per blueprints and metallurgy.
• Install, modify, and repair pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces and drums.
• Set up equipment and weld pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Traveling Specialty Welders for projects located in the Cameron, LA area. This is a multiple shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $52-54/hour based on experience plus $105/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

• Lay out, align and weld fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings and pipe, according to blueprints and metallurgy
• Install, modify, and make repairs to pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces, and drums
• Set up equipment and weld either pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment
• Work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of industrial construction/maintenance Flux Core welding experience
• Must pass a drug screen, hearing test, and a respirator fit test
• Must pass a weld tests:
  • Flux Core Test Process: GTAW / FCAW: 2\" Super Coupon - Filler: ER80S - Ni1 / E81T1-Ni1M - Position: 6G
  • RMD Test Process: GMAW - RMD/GTAW: 2\" Super Coupon - Filler - ER308LSi / ER308L - Position: 6G
