Job summary

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Traveling Combo Welders for projects located in the Cameron, LA area. This is a first shift opportunity with pay up to $52/hour based on experience plus $105/day per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of industrial construction/maintenance welding experience.
• Must pass a drug screen, hearing test, and a respirator fit test.
• Weld tests required: GTAW and SMAW per specified materials and positions.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align and weld components to assemble structures per blueprints.
• Install, modify and repair pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces and drums.
• Set up equipment and weld pipe, plate or structural steel using arc methods.
• Work from blueprints, sketches and specifications.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Job Scope:

• Lay out, align and weld fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings and pipe, according to blueprints and metallurgy
• Install, modify, and make repairs to pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces, and drums
• Set up equipment and weld either pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment
• Work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Process: GTAW/SMAW Material: 2" Super Coupon - Carbon Steel - Filler:ER70S-2/E7018-Position:6GR
