Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred for the role.
• Two years of higher education and Work Keys Test required.
• Experience with students with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a certified teacher, perform instructional tasks.
• Assist identified students to maintain behavioral control and follow plans.
• Reinforce learning in small groups as directed by the teacher.
• Support teachers with materials and activity setup for lessons.
• Assist with routine classroom tasks including grading papers when needed.
• Help with feeding, positioning, lifting, or moving students if required.
• Assist with wash-up and toilet routines and use of assistive devices as needed.
• Supervise students during lunch, playground, study halls, and field trips.
