Job summary

Mathis Management is seeking a Sous Chef for Ranch Steakhouse Norman to join the back-of-house team. The role is on-site and full-time, with driving responsibilities. You will ensure stations are stocked, enforce recipes and portion control, and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen.

You will assist in ordering, receiving, and verifying product quality, while training new staff and supporting management in staffing decisions. A valid license and a safety-sensitive position are required.

Qualifications

• Culinary training preferred, not required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in food preparation.
• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that all stations remain stocked before and during dinner service.
• Ensures that all kitchen staff follows recipes and portion control correctly.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area.
• Places food and supply orders as directed by Chef or management.
• Receives product and verifies invoices and freshness of products.
• Trains new kitchen staff as needed.
• Actively participates as a member of the management team.
• Manages staffing levels throughout shift.
• Performs additional duties as directed by management.
