Mortenson is seeking a Field Engineer to join our Solar team, contributing to active management of construction projects, solving problems, and applying basic construction management and engineering techniques. The role requires travel and will involve pre-construction support, submittal processing, document reviews, and site mobilization tasks.

Responsibilities include QA/QC, coordinating meetings, drafting subcontracts, and leveraging standard processes to ensure project success across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction management/engineering or related field.
• Experience on construction job sites preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-construction support.
• Manage submittal and RFI processes through project closure.
• Evaluate and distribute design and engineering documents.
• Prepare site mobilization planning and living arrangements.
• Prepare turnover binders and pre-mobilization meetings.
• Arrange short form subcontracts with local entities.
• Draft subcontracts and purchase agreements.
• Utilize Best Practice Database for SWIs and quality docs.
• Manage QA/QC per Project Quality Plan and inventory.
• Coordinate DFW prep meetings, inspections, and punch lists.
