Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain DOT compliance within 90 days of employment.
  • Has or can obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Previous experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and/or fabrication is beneficial.

We are looking to add to a Traveling Service Technician our team in our Service Department! Our Ideal Team Member will share our Core Values, has field service experience (or is willing & excited to learn), and has a hunger to develop their skills.

This is an entry to mid-level position and for the right Team Member, could be the launching point to grow into a variety of roles as we are strong believers in cross training and continuously developing our team!

Here is what you will do:

On-Site Equipment Maintenance and Repair

  • Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair RMS Roller-Grinder equipment.
  • Execute preventive maintenance routines to ensure optimal performance and longevity of machinery.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their unique needs and provide tailored solutions

Breakdown Response

  • Be the frontline responder to equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime for our valued customers.
  • Utilize your technical expertise to quickly identify and resolve issues, getting our customers back to peak production efficiency.

Training and Consultation

  • Conduct comprehensive training sessions for customers on the operation and maintenance of RMS Roller-Grinder equipment.
  • Share best practices, tips, and insights to enhance customers' understanding and maximize the efficiency of their machinery.

Customer Relationship Building

  • Foster strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and demonstrating a commitment to their success.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing RMS Roller-Grinder with professionalism and dedication.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed service records, documenting all interactions, solutions implemented, and recommendations for future improvements.
  • Provide regular updates to the service team and management, contributing to the continuous improvement of our products and services.

Type of Team Member we are looking for:

  • An Individual that has a Passion to Travel consistently; working 3-4 consecutive days a week and staying out 2-3 nights a week; with minimal weekend work that may be required.

  • An Individual that is Self-Motivated and can see & anticipate what needs to be completed and then takes appropriate action to get the job done in a quality fashion.

  • An Individual that has a strong Mechanical Aptitude and a knack for taking apart and properly reassembling equipment.
  • An Individual that has Diagnostic and Problem-Solving Skills, where they can determine the root cause of an issue and come up with solutions to resolve it.
  • An Individual that has Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills so they can interact professionally and effectively with our customers.
  • An Individual that has a Customer Focused mind set, understanding the need to assist customers in breakdown situations and getting them operational in a timely fashion.

  • An Individual that has a Growth Mindset that is willing to learn and help in other areas within the company to support the team.
  • An Individual that has an Ownership Mindset, ensuring they have the right parts, tools, & equipment for the job while keeping their truck and work sites organized and in good housekeeping.
