Alvest Equipment Services (AES) in Alaska seeks a Traveling Service Technician to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on Ground Support Equipment across the state. You will perform preventive maintenance, updates, and troubleshoot via MIS while adhering to safety standards.

Requires 1–4 years in relevant repair fields, own hand tools, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and valid US driver’s license; English proficiency and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years’ experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or HVAC systems.
• Diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment repair background.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Must be 18+, eligible to work in the U.S., and possess a valid driver’s license.
• English language proficiency.

Shift:

Monday through Thursday. 10 hour day shift. Travel is to shop locations throughout Alaska.

AS A TRAVEL SERVICE TECHNICIAN

The Traveling Service Technician will be representing AES and its core principles before our customers within the Alask region. He/she will complete service repairs and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, adhere to and comply with service bulletins, and perform computer-based software updates, diagnostics and troubleshooting for Ground Support Equipment. All Traveling GSE Mechanics will report to the Operations Manager.

• Strong troubleshooting skills and computer proficiency
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
• Must provide own hand tools
• Strong communication skills
• Must be 18+, eligible to work in the U.S., and possess a valid driver’s license
• Team player with the ability to work independently
• English language proficiency

NICE TO HAVE CERTIFICATIONS

• Med/Heavy Truck or Light TruckAutomotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred.
• Universal HVAC certification preferred.
