Job summary

Cooper Tacia General Contracting is seeking a Traveling Senior Superintendent to lead on-site management of construction projects across the southeastern United States. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards, working closely with Project Managers to drive success.

The role requires a minimum of 6 years in commercial construction, strong subcontractor oversight, and the ability to travel overnight.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a criminal background and drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel overnight throughout the southeastern U.S.

We are currently seeking a Traveling Senior Superintendent to lead the on-site management of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role plays a pivotal part in project execution, and you'll collaborate closely with Project Managers to drive project success and foster professional growth within the team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of construction sites, including coordinating subcontractors and overseeing employees to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Actively mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and advance their careers within the company.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of all subcontractors on-site to ensure timely and quality completion of tasks while ensuring cooperation and high performance.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs and reports, to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of project progress.
• Implement and oversee quality control processes to uphold high standards of workmanship, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds project specifications and industry standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial construction, with a solid track record of successful project completions.
• Extensive experience in managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on-site.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed construction goals and project timelines.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools, with a willingness to learn new technologies as needed.
• Ability to pass a criminal background and drug screen.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel overnight throughout the southeastern U.S.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to handle project challenges and ensure smooth execution.
